SAAFBA promotes involvement in likeminded organizations in the area! This week we’re boosting the profile of AACI Health and Wellness.
What is AACI and what do they do?
AACI Health & Wellness, formerly Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI), is Santa Clara County’s largest community-based organization focused on Asian Americans in the community. For over 40 years, AACI services have provided critical support and AACI continues to grow to provide culturally accessible services, not only for Asian Americans but for all.
Many of the thousands of people AACI serves are low-income immigrant who do not speak English and might have nowhere else to turn. AACI provides an array of high-quality health and wellness services, from medical care to a domestic violence shelter to a Center for Survivors of Torture, children and seniors’ programs, and more. AACI’s 177 staff members speak over 40 languages and dialects, reflecting the diversity of our community.
